In the separate speeches given by the Deputy Principals from the Preschool section, Ms Cecilia Landingin and Masjiah Hj Metussin of the Primary sections, the students should be given rewards not only on their academic achievements, but also on the realisation of their personal goals in life; thus making them all rounded, more responsible students that take pride of their accomplishments, and most of all the future pride of their nation. They also commended the teachers for keeping up with the parents’ significant upbringing of their children and for continually embarking on the values that these students practise in their homes. They also did not forget to express felicitations and give emphasis on the parents’ fulfilment of their responsibilities having raised values-oriented children.
The 3 – 6 year olds were applauded as they made their way on the stage and proudly received the Most Resilient and Most Helpful awards. Whereas the Year 1 students showed their eminent gestures as they receive their Best in Mental Maths, Best in Letter Writing and Best in ‘Karangan’ awards. Year 2 – Year 6 students were also recognised under similar categories as Year 1 with additional recognition for their achievements on top Science scores, Mathematics Olympiad, art competition and Islamic religious awards.
Little time it might seem, but it created a huge effect of triumph and confidence among the students. At a tender age, they indeed deserve to receive ‘Kudos’ for their remarkable achievements.
