Seri Mulia Sarjana School Community Awards Students' International and National Achievements

Giving due recognition to students who attained high honours in different fields is what makes Seri Mulia Sarjana School very distinct. It believes that a simple pat on the back and other gestures of praise and appreciation can steer individuals to dream BIG and reach greater heights.

This is what exactly took place on 13th of March 2015, Friday at Maktab Duli College Auditorium, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. 108 students in total from Primary and Secondary sections gathered at the said venue for their recognition and awarding day. Gracing that momentous event was Pengiran Haji Rosli Bin Pengiran Haji Halus, the acting director of Administration and Services, Department of Administration and Services, Ministry of Education.

SMS School awarded 41 Year 6 students of 2014 who attained 5 A’s, along with 30 others who attained 4 A’s . With their parents, the said students walked with joy and pride as each received the certificate of accomplishment. A grueling process of teaching and learning took place beforehand, but all was paid off well at the end.

SMS School Secondary Section honoured GCE O’ Level 2014 batch of students for their academic excellence. 10 students were awarded for their academic excellence scoring maximum of 7 A * to minimum of 2 A *. 15 students were feted for their good performance in achieving 8 - 9 O’ Levels. 15 students were given special recognition for attaining 5 to 7 O’ Levels. The student who achieved the best O level results of 2014, Hee Sang Hong (7 A *, 1 B) had delivered a brilliant speech as a great tribute to her Alma Mater and teachers.

Awarded also with certificates on that day were the 7 SMSS Young Singers, who brought in 5 distinctions and 2 merits after taking the Trinity Rock and Pop Vocal College London examination, conducted by an examiner from the Trinity College London on 19th of November, 2014. What a noteworthy result for the SMSS vocal coaches who took the challenge for the first time and spent 3 hectic months preparing these students.

Parents and students alike had spoken their profound appreciation to SMSS management, teachers and staff, for dedication and commitment in teaching their children through all the years and for organising such a meaningful awarding day to acknowledge their loved ones’ achievements. They wished SMSS Community’s enduring influence and impact in education, here in Brunei and globally.

Well-done and congratulations to all!!!
