SMSS Takes Part in Bahasa Melayu Choral Speaking Competition

On Thursday, 2 June 2016, in conjunction with this year’s World Health Day with the theme ‘Healthy Lifestyle: Healthy Diet’, a group of 28 primary students of Seri Mulia Sarjana School took part in a Bahasa Melayu Choral Speaking Competition organised by the Co-Curriculum Department at the Ministry of Health’s Al-Afiah Hall, Berakas. 

The competition aimed at creating awareness about the importance of taking care of our health.

Present to witness the event were the Director General of Education, Haji Abdul Rahim Bin Derus as the Guest of Honour, and the Acting Director of the Co-Curriculum Department, Awang Roslin Suhailee as the chairperson for this year’s Choral Speaking Competition.

During the competition, the students conducted a performance that conveyed messages concerning the significance of maintaining health, fitness and well-being.  SMSS participants proudly garnered fourth place, a great achievement for their first-ever Choral Speaking Competition.

It was the first ever attempt of SMSS primary section to join this competition.
