The art competition was sponsored by the Mitsubishi Public Affairs Committee, the Asian Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations, and the National Federation of UNESCO Associations in Japan.
Awangku Muhammad Isa Daniel Muqri was one of the eight top entries awarded with the Best Entry Award for the national level last 26 January 2016 at the Songket Ballroom of Rizqun International Hotel. The artworks were then transported to Japan for the international round of competition.
The International Screening Committee selected one winner for each award from the 24 countries and a region, which participated in this art competition. The awards are Grand Prix Award, and Organizers Awards like Mitsubishi Public Affairs Committee, Asian Pacific Federation of UNESCO Associations and National Federation of UNESCO Associations in Japan. Awangku Muhammad Isa Daniel Muqri was the recipient of the Grand Prix Award along with the other awardees from Brunei Darussalam.
Part of the trip’s programme was an excursion to Tokyo Disney Resort, a theme park and vacation resort located in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan.
