K1 students put on their best clothes with the 1960’s theme. They had a mini fashion show where they got to parade their great looking Hari Raya Attire. Winners for the best themed clothes were awarded for both male and female. Our K2 students had a Hari Raya Song Performance for each class. They wowed the audience with their beautiful voices and joyous tones. A pair of male and female was also awarded for the best attire for K2. Graceful dancers adorned the stage when the K3 students moved to the beat of festive Hari Raya songs. They showed Malay traditional dances illustrating the simple joys of the season. Awards were also given to the ones who put on their best Hari Raya clothes for K3.
After the gathering at the hall, they proceeded to their classrooms and shared the Hari Raya Kueh brought from home. A simple “Open House” happened in each room depicting the tradition of sharing one’s blessings with families and friends. The children went home full – not only of the food, but more of joy in celebrating the richness of culture and tradition.
