Learning Beyond the Classroom

To be relevant in the 21st Century, a strong and varied co-curricular programme becomes an integral part of the experience at Seri Mulia Sarjana School. SMSS provides a variety of activities that challenge and appeal to each and every student. Likewise, such activities enhance the learning experience of the students and help them recognize their inner skills such as leadership, creative or innovative and communication skills to mention a few.

Prior to commencement of CCA classes, long queues were formed when the excited students registered for their chosen clubs during the CCA enrolment held on 12th January in the school ground. This year, there is a huge plethora of clubs for the Sarjanians to choose from. In the Primary sections, such clubs include Communication Skills 1-6, Trinity College Rock and Pop 1 – 6, Arts and Crafts 1 – 6, Recreational Games 1 and 2, Warisan Budaya, Dance, Netball 5 and 6, Basketball 3-4, Football 5 and 6, Chinese Culture, Home Economics 1-4 and Boys and Girls Scouts 5 and 6.

This year, SMSS Secondary Section offers Sports Club such as Basketball, Netball, Badminton and Futsal; Arts and Culture Club namely International Culture Club, Rock and Pop Vocals, Musical Ensemble, Drama and Theater, Practical Arts and Crafts, Warisan Budaya, Dance Synergy and Lion Dance Club; Islamic and Community Service like Red Crescent, Islamic, Outreach; and Special Interests namely Atomos Science, Business, Techno, Mathematics, Press Journalism, Gavel Club (Debate) and Geography.

The CCA classes, which commenced on 19th January 2017 and will culminate through a showcase of talents and exhibitions on 7th October, are held every Thursday for the Primary levels and every Saturday for the Secondary levels.
