Let the Games Begin!

K3 has conducted their Entry Point “Mini-Olympics” for the IEYC Unit “THE OLYMPICS, Let’s GET MOVING” last 13th April 2017.

The objectives of this activity is for the children to be able to learn in groups or on their own, identify different sports in different countries, and participate in activities that will develop new skills and strengths while working individually or in a team.

The children learned about what happens in an Olympics by watching a video presentation of an actual one. There was also an exciting parade of nations with five children carrying the five rings representing the Olympic flags. Each K3 class represented a country such as China, Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, and Philippines. The festivity got even better when they did a simulation of the lighting of Olympic torch and reciting the oath of Sportsmanship. This aactivity officially welcomed the K3 students into the exciting world of sports and games in the coming weeks.
