Ready, Set, ROAR!

This year, the K2 level introduced a new International Early Years Curriculum to the children which is called “Dinosaur Detectives!” In this exciting unit, the K2 level travelled back in time to the land of the dinosaurs to find out more about these amazing creatures.

The series of activities linked to this unit will surely be filled with lots of exciting dinosaur adventures!

The dinosaur adventure kicked off with a loud roar last Saturday, 20th May, at the preschool grounds. With teamwork and dedication to make the activity a big success for the children, K2 teachers transformed a part of the school into a land of dinosaurs. Big tents were set-up to provide a variety of learning experiences for everyone namely: Dinosaurs Big and Small, Dinosaurs and its Habitat, Dinosaur Eggs, Dinosaur Fossils, Dinosaur Puzzles, and Dinosaur Story-telling. The event started with an upbeat dinosaur song and dance in which everyone got to pretend like dinosaurs through singing and dancing. It was followed by a picture story-telling about the good dinosaur named Arlo. In this story, the children learned a lot about obedience to parents and kindness to others. Moreover, two students were given recognition for wearing the “Most Creative” dinosaur costume on that day. Everyone was given a chance to explore all the exciting dinosaur activities in each tent for the rest of the day. Certainly a busy, productive, and fantastic day for our young Sarjanians!
