A Festive Hari Raya Celebration at Preschool

The festivities at preschool on July 24 filled the preschool building with children and teachers wearing fancy traditional Malay attire such as Baju Kurung and Cara Melayu, sumptuous Bruneian delicacies, and performances from teachers and students that absolutely amused everyone.

Celebrating the event with a twist, instead of the students doing all the presentation, teachers from each level prepared a special act that truly surprised and made everyone smile. The event was attended by the school Principals across three sections and they also served as judges in the teachers’ fun performance competition. With their own rendition and dance interpretation of one of the most famous Hari Raya songs, the K1 teachers emerged as the winners. Aside from the entertaining performances of teachers, some selected students from K1, K2, and K3 also added colour to the festivity by showing their amazing dance moves to the tune of their favourite Hari Raya songs. Fun games followed through before the programme ended. The celebration continued in the classrooms as each class enjoyed the delicious foods and drinks that they’ve brought for sharing. A happy Hari Raya indeed!
