SMSS Teams Take Part in Asian International Children’s Film Festival in Hokkaido, Japan

Two short films created by two teams of secondary students from Seri Mulia Sarjana School have been nominated for JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths) 2017 Inbound Program Composite 3rd (Culture) Asian International Children’s Film Festival.

  The entries with the title “A Purpose” and “The Talk” are based on this year’s theme, “My Teacher”. The young film makers are Ak Md Rafie Fadhlillah bin Pg Hj Khairil Anuar - Y10C, Chin Kuan Weng - 10C, Jasmeen Lim Delos Reyes - 10C, Muhammad Aiman Syakir bin Haji Hamsa - Y9D, AK Md Afiq Syazwan Bin Pg Hj Rosli - Y10D and Muhammad Shauqi Bin Hj Madzaini - Y10D as supervised by T. Myra Angeles and T. Rhoel C. Pacis.

The teams were invited to go to Japan for a 10-day programme to experience Japanese culture through observations and quality sessions and trips in local industrial facilities and such; to participate in cross-cultural events, workshops; exchange with Japanese local students; to mingle with the other participants from 12 participating countries and regions; and, to visit and tour around Hokkaido and Tokyo, Japan. Seri Mulia Sarjana school teams and Teacher Myra Reyes Angeles together with the 3 students from Sayyidina Hussain will represent Brunei on 20th to 29th of November 2017 in Japan.
