Year 6 Sarjanians Embark on International Immersion

An MIB embedded Malay Dance combined with Silat movements showcased the Sarjana talent in the performance of the 8 SMSS Year 6 students during the latters’ visit to Primary Corporation School in Singapore on 5 – 8 November 2017.

Accompanied by Teachers Syifa Yeo Abdullah and Michael Quinto, the students embarked on an international immersion programme that aimed at developing self – discipline and confidence, enhancing social skills, establishing camaraderie and practicing independence.

The said group, armed with self – determination, participated in classroom activities with the CPS students, toured around the school and the facilities. Furthermore, they actively joined CCA performances on samba percussion, modern dance, Chinese dance and English drama. The Sarjanians showed their worth as holistic learners when they successfully carried out varied activities.

To add delight to this event, the group visited museums like Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum and Peranakan Museum, a land tour to Kampung Glam, Flower Dome, Singapore Zoo, Singapore Sky Flyer and the famous Merlion Park. The experiences and the knowledge gained from this tour will surely leave a remarkable print in the students’ hearts and minds.
