A league of 21 principals and owners of preschools and day care centers from all over Malaysia visited the Seri Mulia Sarjana School Early Years section.
3 cohorts of professional development were held during the first term break for SMSS teachers. The first was the BTS (Brunei Teachers Standards) training held for all teachers, facilitated by Teacher Putri M. Simanjuntak and Teacher K. Sowmiya. This professional development course provided a golden opportunity for teachers to reflect on their teaching practices and to upgrade their proficiency in constructive teaching.
Ms Cecilia T. Landingin, Deputy Principal (Academic) of the Preschool Section recently completed an Inclusive Education programme, conducted by Unit Pendidikan Khas, Ministry of Education.
Thirteen teachers of Seri Mulia Sarjana School and Seri Mulia Sarjana International School are now ‘certified fire marshals’ after finishing a three-day Fire Marshal Course at the Fire and Rescue Old Training Centre, Old Airport, Berakas.
With the joint effort of the SMSIS Director, Mr. Alex Adjawi and the SMSS Head of English Subject (Primary Section), Teacher Cecilia Landingin, the ‘Zumba Workout’ is organised for the first time to promote Health & Fitness among the teachers and staff of all the campuses under Seri Mulia Sarjana Family.
Thirty one teachers from the primary and secondary sections attended 21st Century Teaching and Learning Workshop held in SHBIE, UBD on the 15th ,17th ,22nd of June and 5th of July.
Seri Mulia Sarjana School Teachers and staff attended a Seminar-Workshop on Value of Life last 20th and 21st March 2013 organised by the Human Resource Department at the Preschool Hall.
The English Language Department of Seri Mulia Sarjana School came together at The Empire Hotel and Country Club to gather new ideas for improvement of the syllabi and scheme next year.
