Asia Pacific Maths Olympiad Singapore

Taking part in a Mathematics competition allows students to sharpen their problem solving skills and serves to generate interest for mathematics amongst them. Annually, there are various Mathematics olympiads which primary school students can participate in and one of the most prominent ones is The Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad.

The best of the Primary School Maths wizards in the Asia Pacific region will converge in Singapore as the Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools will be held this week.

Sunday, 25th May 2014, Padang Kebajikan, Berakas. Out of 4 entries, 2 of our students, namely, Jonathan Lu Weixing and Edric Hii Hiong Rong made it to the National Finals of the Kejohanan Olahraga Sekolah-Sekolah Rendah Brunei which will be held in September this year.

World Water Day Art Competition 2014

 Michael Ho Yii Kiong, from Seri Mulia Sarjana School Year 3C won First Place in the World Water Day Arts Competition with the theme , “Water and Energy”.  

In an exceptional display of academic excellence, Seri Mulia Sarjana School student, Kyungju Hong, was recognised by the Ministry of Education and U.K University of Cambridge International Examinations as the recipient of the GCE O Level / Best Across Seven Cambridge O Levels ‘First Place’.

Sarjana BEES Achievers Did It Again

The much awaited 2013 Convention and 2014 BEES launching took place on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Manggis Ballroom, Hua Ho Manggis Mall with the Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yussof Bin Haji Ismail.

Brunei Entrepreneurship Education Scheme or BEES aims to cultivate attitudes and skills for enterprise, personal success, lifelong learning and employability.  

Joycelyn Jeyaseelan Fontanilla and Rose Denise Hernandez Santos won second place in the Science Fair organised by Jerudong International School on the 4th of July .

Abdul Mu’iz bin Maidi, Nigel Tang CheeXiong, La’bell Wong, and Ashley Hee Siang Huey of Year 10 led by Teacher Ramil Herrera grabbed the 3rd place overall in the 21st BASE National Science Cyber Wizards Camp 2013 ICT competition about Science Mobile Application Development.

Joshua Alan R. Filio, Mary Alizzah M. Dela Vega, Durga Kishin B. Dhalani, Muhd Nur Haziq Bakhtiar Bin Bungsu, Ak Mohd Fattah Aufa Bin Pg Hj Kamarul of Year 8D and 8A respectively, under the supervision of T. Myra Reyes Angeles and T. Rhoel Pacis won the Plastic Bottle Sculpture Contest in the 1st Brunei Darussalam Nature Festival.

Teachers win SCB Cheering Competition

Primary and Secondary Teachers from SMS School dominated the SCB Cheering competition during the Half-Marathon Brunei 2013.  The event, organised by Standard Chartered Bank was held on 7th April at the National Stadium.

SM Sarjana Primary students nailed top positions in the MSW National Spelling Bee – Finals, yesterday, 12th May 2013 at the IBM Centre University Brunei Darussalam.

SARJANA Primary made it to the Finals

The SM Sarjana Primary continued to battle in the semi final round of ‘My Small World’s National Spelling Bee’ on Thursday, 9th May 2013.

10 finalists from the different public and private schools in Brunei Darussalam convened at Sekolah Rendah 1 for the Mari Bercerita Competition Finals, Brunei-Muara District on the 8th of May.

‘Best of the Bee’

My Small World opened its 4th Spelling Bee yesterday, drawing the participation of hundreds of upper primary and secondary students from different schools. Seri Mulia Sarjana school Sent five entrants from each year level joined the elimination round yesterday.
