To further enhance and strengthen Chinese language and culture and to unveil teaching methodologies to improve the quality of teaching, the SMSS Mandarin teachers attended the seminar-workshop held at the Primary section on 28 April and 12 May respectively.

On 15th May 2017,  the SMSS Netball School Team participated in the Netball Interschool Competition Cluster 3 and achieved the third place in both categories Under 15 & Under 18.

Ready, Set, ROAR!

This year, the K2 level introduced a new International Early Years Curriculum to the children which is called “Dinosaur Detectives!” In this exciting unit, the K2 level travelled back in time to the land of the dinosaurs to find out more about these amazing creatures.

A Day at the Airport

K1 students capped the Up and Away unit with a learning experience they would never forget. The Exit Point activity “A Day at the Airport” was literally held at the airport with first-hand experience of what it is like to be in the real-life setting.

Once again, jewels have been added to the victorious Sarjana crown when two students of 2016 GCE O’ Level batch won the prestigious Cambridge Brilliance Award in English Language, D Maths and Additional Maths.

Discovering the World of Imagination!

The preschool building of SMSS was transformed into a world of fantasy when the K3 level held their Entry Point activity for the unit, “Let’s Pretend”.

K2 Shopping Trip

Young minds are always curious; always eager to discover new things through self-exploration. Our preschool teachers support this idea; thus, we do our best to provide experiential learning to our students.

The Olympics Unit of K3 concluded recently with a fun picnic celebration and awarding of winners of the sports games competition.

With the help of their parents’ creativity and extra-mile effort, K1 students brought their very own version of a rocket to school for the ‘Rocket Show and Tell’.
