Sarjana students continued their enriching learning journey through the Live and Let Live IPC unit. As part of their “Explaining the Theme” learning activity, the students engaged in a fun hands-on planting session that deepened their understanding of how living things grow.
To begin, Year 1 learners explored what plants need to live – soil, water, sunlight, and care. After a short discussion, they each selected a seed to plant, choosing from tomato, mustard, or pok choy. With great excitement, they filled their pots with soil, made small holes, planted their seeds, and gently watered them. Teachers guided the process while encouraging students to ask questions and make predictions about how their plants might grow.
Our learners enthusiastically shared ideas on how to take care of their plants daily. This meaningful activity not only supported their understanding of plant life cycles but also nurtured a sense of responsibility and empathy for living things.
