Academic Programmes

Seri Mulia Sarjana School is a private, independent, non-sectarian, co-educational school operating its Preschool (Kindergarten), Primary (Junior & Middle) and Secondary (High School) sections at separate campuses along Jalan Gadong in the Kg. Jangsak and Kg. Mata-Mata areas. The Preschool section runs on International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) where all learning and development is underpinned by a set of learning strands which provide description of what children will experience and learn about through contextualized activities woven into thematic, appealing and brain friendly units of learning. The Primary section runs on Brunei’s SPN 21 Education System supplemented with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) where children’s existing knowledge and rich linguistic experiences are utilised to assist in developing increased competence in the use of language arts, speaking and listening, reading and writing. The Secondary section runs on Brunei’s SPN 21 Education System which provides help our students in achieving their absolute best academically as well as developing confidence and a wider understanding of the world around them – enabling each student to go on and take their place as a successful ‘global citizen’. In the primary and secondary sections, all students are required to participate in co-curricular programmes of their choice.

All Sarjanians are expected to give their best in their learning to achieve academic excellence. In addition, students are encouraged to participate actively in extra-curricular activities, athletic events as well as in creative and performing arts. We also encourage our students to participate in learning activities that promote leadership, self-esteem and good moral character. Our students thrive in a community of free inquiry and intellectual exploration. With these tools, we believe they can excel in the future.

Admission is granted upon the completion of all requirements with the understanding that the student and the parents agree to comply with the academic standards of the school and its set rules and regulations. With limited academic seats, the School has a rolling deadline before the start of the academic year in January. Places are allocated to successful applicants, with a required PASS grade in the entrance examination grade. However, application for admissions are welcomed throughout the year provided slots are available in the preferred year level. Our school year starts in January and ends November.
