EXHILARATING!
That’s the word that best captures our unforgettable field trip organized by the Humanities Department for Year 11 and Year 7 students – a day brimming with discovery, learning and adventure.
Our journey began at the Tropical Biodiversity Centre, where we were greeted by towering tree, vibrant greenery, and soothing sounds of nature. As we wandered along wooden trails and explored interactive exhibits, we developed a deeper appreciation for Brune’s rich ecosystems. From tiny insects to majestic trees, we discovered how every living thing plays a vital role in maintaining the delicate balance of nature. It was an eye-opening experience that strengthened our connection to the environment.
Next, we headed to Tenaga Seria, where we explored the fascinating world of energy production. Surrounded by massive machinery and guided by knowledgeable staff, we learned about the journey of electricity – from generation to distribution. It was truly enlightening to see how energy reaches our homes and how this complex system is managed with such precision and care. We left with a newfound respect for something we often take for granted.
Our itinerary also included iconic landmarks such as Mercu Tanda Kenangan in Tutong, a meaningful symbol of royal celebration; Menara Cendera Kenangan, with its panoramic views and historical importance; and the Billionth Barrel Monument, a powerful tribute to Brunei’s oil industry and national progress. Each site offered a unique glimpse into our nation’s history, achievements, and cultural pride.
