The final day of Term 2 was anything but ordinary as students from both morning and afternoon sessions ditched their backpacks in support of the Supreme Student Council’s (SSC) second major activity: the much-anticipated “Anything But a Backpack Day!” held on 14th June 2025.

Organized in conjunction with the school’s send-off for the 2nd Term School Holiday, the event brought laughter, color, and plenty of surprises as students arrived carrying their school supplies in the most unexpected “bags” imaginable – from buckets and tekidings to laundry baskets, rice sacks, and even giant plastic bags!

Spearheaded by the SSC, the initiative aimed to promote creativity, unity, and end the term on a high note. Alongside the quirky bag swap was a meaningful Father’s Day Card-Selling activity, giving students a chance to express their appreciation for their fathers ahead of the special day.

Congratulations to our standout winners for their unique and imaginative entries:

  • Tran Chan from 11C
  • Muhammad Mishari Darweesy Mustaqeem bin Iddi Mario from 9E

Both students impressed the SSC judges with their originality and school spirit, earning well-deserved recognition.

As the school community heads into the break, “Anything But a Backpack Da” will surely be remembered as one of the term’s highlights – a joyful reminder that sometimes, thinking outside the bag is the best way to go.
