Alifa Bosu and Isaac Tiong Ing Hoe from the secondary section emerged as the first-place winners in the Non-Chinese and Chinese categories, respectively, in the Chinese Calligraphy Competition organized by the Society of Chinese Writers Calligraphers and Artists Brunei Darussalam.
Sharing the spotlight during the Prize presentation on 10th March were the 13 other student awardees who obtained 2nd and 3rd prizes, along with two teachers who secured 2nd and 3rd places as well.
Before the competition, a school-based contest was held in both primary and secondary sections. Out of 536 entries, 176 qualified to join the actual competition held in January 2024, and 15 entries with amazing strokes made their way to major awards.
