After their recent trip to the moon, our Kindergarten 3 students learnt about astronauts and their missions to the moon. They also looked at transportation in space called moon buggy and how it was used to explore the surface of the moon. As part of their IEYC ‘Blast Off’ unit, they had an opportunity to get creative and make their own moon buggy with the help of their parents. Each component of the buggy was made from different
recyclable materials such as cardboard, bottles, toilet paper rolls, and aluminium foil. Later, these captivating moon buggies were put through a series of agility tests in a Moon Obstacle course. It has been wonderful to see the children’s enthusiasm and learning develop throughout this unit!
