In accordance with the GCE/IGCSE O Level and PSR Examinations of 2017, Seri Mulia Sarjana School Secondary and Primary sections celebrated Sarjana Students  Awards and Appreciation Ceremony to honour the achievements of brilliant students in academics. The ceremonious event was held at 3 p.m. on Friday, the 9th March at Cesar Hall, Mulia Hotel, Berakas as a glorious tribute to Sarjana school academy. The guest of honour, Hajah Anis Faudzulani Binti Haji Dzulkiflee, Acting Director General, Ministry of Education, presented accolades to all the awardees for their outstanding achievement in the International and National examinations.

True to the Sarjana school motto “Total Education for All,” the awarding function is designed to recognize the young talents who have made an immense contribution to the school and the society in the field of academics. These brilliant students exhibit such qualities that will not only help them in achieving their goals, but also bring glory and success to the nation as well. Also the prominent dignitaries in attendance were   Principal of Secondary Section, Gazala Binti Abdullah, and the Acting Principal of Primary and Pre School Sections, Putri M Simanjuntak.

There were a total of 69 meritorious awards were conferred to GCE/IGCSE students for their outstanding examination results. Various citations include; 8-9 O Level, Top in Subject, The Most Outstanding Student Achiever in Science Stream and also in Combined Science Stream. Vibhusha Selvam Vinothini from Science Stream and Dayangku Amirah Suhailah binti Pengiran Amir Taufek from Combined Science Stream were honoured as the most outstanding achievers in their respective discipline.

 

The celebration began with ‘Tausyeh’ followed by National Anthem and “Doa”. Principal, Gazala binti Abdullah in her welcoming speech mentioned that Seri Mulia Sarjana School has always been committed to provide equal opportunities to all the students so that they will realize their true potential and get ready to face the outer world once they complete their school studies. She has also pointed out that this glorious success would never have been possible without the sheer hard work and commitment of all teachers.

 

The ceremony was attended by awardees, senior management, teachers and staff, parents, families, student leaders and other well-wishers of the school community.

 

Lastly, Music Club members mesmerized the audience through a moving and powerful musical orchestra using various musical instruments with the accompaniment of Gulintangan. The event concluded with a grand photo shoot of all the awardees with gues of honour, management and teachers as a fitting memento of the occasion. It was undoubtedly a symbol of victorious legacy to follow.
