A Meaningful Holiday Camp
On 19th and 20th of March, a memorable and meaningful SCIENCE/MATH/GEO Camp program was conducted by the various departments of the secondary section which provided an opportunity for campers to exchange ideas and investigate deeper into these subjects. A total of 82 students joined the camp which offered a variety of activities such as the ‘Croc-boy animal discovery show’ where the students learnt how to treat and handle the animals. Moreover, the students also had hands-on experiences on animal handling. There was also an activity called the ‘amazing race’ on which the students got involved in a variety of Science, Math and Geo-related activities wherein they had to finish the challenges in a particular time limit. In addition, an ‘OGDC explorasaurus show’ was also conducted on which the students were able to witness the dinosaur exhibit based on OGDC’s educational outreach program. More exciting events took place like a tech-challenge on which students were required to build a waterproof shelter using recycled materials and they were judged based on the design, durability and the materials used. Overall, it was a rewarding experience for the students as well as the teachers.
