On the 12th of January 2019, coinciding with our school’s celebration of its 27th Foundation Day, the Year 7 students were welcomed to the secondary section with icebreaking activities. These activities aimed to facilitate exercises intended to help the students begin the process of forming themselves into different teams. The activities were also intended to “warm up” the new students to get to know each other.

The ice breaking events consisted of fun games such as “Build the highest” and “Form the longest” as led by different secondary teachers and even SMSS alumni, Jasmine Delos Reyes and Jerusha Ruth Bongolan. A briefing was also conducted by Teachers Alister, Lillian and Sabu regarding the school rules and regulations that all the students must abide to. It was indeed an afternoon filled with high energy and laughter.
