The K2 hallways and classrooms of the preschool building were transformed into the Jurassic era during K2’s entry point activity for the IEYC unit, Dinosaur Detective. A thematic learning centre about dinosaurs was showcased in each K2 classroom for the students to visit, enjoy, and explore. These learning centres featured the following: Dinosaur Puppet Storytelling, Dinosaur Fossils, Life Cycle of a Dinosaur, Dinosaur Habitat and Volcano, Dinosaur Footprint Baked Playdough, and Mystery Box Dinosaur Trivia. The learning centres aimed to let the children discover more about dinosaurs through a variety of hands-on and interactive activities, help the children appreciate literature, and support their growing curiosity about these mighty but extinct species.
