Among the 54 participants, Muhd Khayri Riduan of Year 9C obtained the 3rd place award in the recently concluded  Chess Tournament in the under 16 category organised by Brunei Chess Federation last 2nd and 4th August 2019 at the Brunei Chess Center. Moreover, Teachers Michael Quinto and Jose Garth Borrero ranked 19th and 22nd respectively in the open age category of the tournament. Present in guiding the team were coaches Melany Santos, Limuel Santos and Michael Quinto.
