SMS Students win the LiveWIRE Business Awards

 

Seri Mulia Sarjana School team emerged as the winner of LiveWire Business Plan Competition Category A1 held at the International Convention Center on 18th April 2018  with their project named, Eco-Brunei Ltd. LiveWIRE Brunei Business Awards is designed to reward and recognize outstanding young entrepreneurs in the country who produce high quality business plan and conduct impressive business operation. It is fully funded by Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) Sdn Bhd. The prestigious awarding ceremony was graced by Yang Mulia Dato Paduka Awang Haji Matsejo Bin Sokiaw, the Deputy Minister of Energy and Industry.

 

The talented year 10 students namely Francis Neil Linezo, Janelle Joyce Perez, Muhammad Haziq Safwan bin Sheran and Shim Jian Hom @Ian with their supervising teachers Rajesh VR and Rhoel Pacis, went home with a trophy, certificates and $1000 cash prize. Their entry, Eco-Brunei Ltd, aims to revolutionise the garbage collection and waste management in the country. Their business model is based on the idea of creating revenue from the collection of recyclable materials from schools, parks and other public places using their innovative product, Eco-Bn.
