Kindergarten students are very curious learners. They learn best when they do and experience things on their own. That’s why in their second IEYC unit, Ocean Treasure, the hardworking K1 teachers brought the ocean right outside the school for the children to explore the sand, water, and sea creatures.
Fully-attired with colourful and cute swimsuits, the K1 students spent a day under the sun making sand castles, splashing water, and playing with sea creature toys. This activity aims to create a safe, fun, and realistic environment that will help arouse students’ curiosity about the ocean. Through this activity, they somehow discovered what sea creatures live in water and on land; and the safety precautions to remember when swimming, especially in the ocean.
